I shoot all my work on film

I recently made my first 6x17 color darkroom print. 
6x17 is a medium format panorama.
This print is 12x36in.






Currently

I’m photographing festivals, fairs and rituals in Florida and beyond.. what began as a personal exploration has become a closer look into what community looks like today—and how American’s gather and belong in a fragmented world.

Coney Island: In Color


I can finally share that my 3 year long love letter to Coney Island is finally complete. (Content wise anyway…) My project is called Coney Island: In Color—it’s a photographic and sensory time capsule of Coney Island from 2022 to 2025. Comprising color darkroom prints, typewritten prose, and visual notes, the work captures the texture, rhythm, and resilience of the place. What began as a Saturday pilgrimage has become both a love letter and a living archive—a documentation of a place that is always changing yet also remains the same..


From the beginning, I always envisioned this project existing as a book—and I’m excited to say that it’s now officially in the process of being designed to be published. The goal is creating a tactile, hand-built object that recreates the feeling of being there and honors Coney Island.

“I achieve all of my colors traditionally using analogue methods. Whether it's from the film stock I choose, the way I process the film or how I print in the darkroom, every choice is specific for a desired effect. I like using slide film because of its deep contrast and vivid color, especially Velvia and Ektachrome. Some of my photos have heightened contrast and color because I pushed the film, meaning I purposefully underexposed while shooting and compensated during development. Exposing film for minutes at a time, which I often do for my night work, also produces deeper contrast. In general, I stay away from digitally post-processing my images, and I don’t really need to—I make so many conscious choices in the analog process that it leaves little need to adjust in post.”
